The Sovereign Islands is a
prestigious large-scale residential
development; situated in the Southport
Broadwater comprising 6 interconnected
islands providing deep-water frontage allotments
with uninhibited access to the Gold Coast
Seaway. Created from sand islands and an
additional special lease reclamation of 1.4
million cubic metres dredged from surrounding
navigation channels, The Sovereign Islands
became the first water frontage housing
development in Australia to offer wall-to-wall
water capable of floating luxury yachts and
power boats at all stages of the tide.

The Landings

landscape architecture.
Description:
The Landings is a 27.8ha,
277 lot residential development and contains
9.22ha of open space, two linear parks, two
wetlands with flood mitigation, 7.67ha of
environmental reserve, and a 0.65 km
bicycle/nature walking track featuring two
footbridges. Rehabilitation of the
riparian area of Yaun Creek is a central feature
of the project. Functional areas for
recreation and social needs are included while
maintaining, where possible, the ecological
values and scenic amenity of the development.
Best practice water sensitive urban design
principles have been incorporated. |
